We’re all about finding the positives where we can

‘We’re all about finding the positives where we can. Lockdown gave our in-house setting team (plus one) the chance to flex their creative muscles and re-set the entire centre. That involved stripping, washing and sorting 253 boulders. They then reset 255 climbs.

1.  Jakub, Team Member and Apprentice Setter

Kicking off our ‘Setter’s Choice’ series is team member and apprentice route-setter, Jakub. He has chosen this V2-3 found at the entrance to slab valley.

3.  Beth, Team Member and Route-Setter

Those of you who climb at Boulder Shack regularly will recognise Beth, especially from making the finals of the Boulder Shack Mega Series 2017, 2018 and 2019!

Beth is one of our newer setters, but is picking it up pretty quickly!

Those of you who regularly climb at Boulder Shack will probably already know who Anna is. One of Boulder Shack’s favourite climbing coaches and team members as well as an amazing route setter!
