The small print
Media terms
We take photographs and film at the centre. Nobody has to be in them, and anybody can change their mind afterwards.
What we photograph, and why
Most of the photographs on this site were taken at the centre, on ordinary days and at competitions. We use them here, on our social media and occasionally in print, to show what the place is actually like rather than what a stock photo library thinks a climbing gym looks like.
We do not sell them and we do not licence them to anybody else.
Opting out
Tell the desk. That is the whole process. We will note it, and the photographer will work around you.
If a picture of you is already published and you want it taken down, email team@bouldershack.co.uk with roughly where you saw it. We will take it down. You do not have to give a reason.
Children
We do not publish a photograph of an identifiable child without a parent or guardian agreeing to it, and we never publish a child’s full name alongside their picture.
Consent given once can be withdrawn at any time, by email or at the desk.
[CONFIRM: the wording of the photography consent question on the registration form, and how a withdrawn consent is recorded.]
Filming and photography by visitors
Filming your own climbing is normal and welcome. Filming other people is not, unless they have said yes.
Please do not film in the changing rooms or toilets, obviously, and please do not leave a tripod in a landing zone.
Press and commercial shoots
Filming or photographing here for anything commercial needs asking first. Email team@bouldershack.co.uk and tell us what you have in mind.
[CONFIRM: whether there is a fee or a standard agreement for commercial shoots.]
