8 Things you might not know about Boulder Shack!

In celebration of Boulder Shack turning 8 this February, we’ve compiled 8 lesser known facts about Boulder Shack! 

Lets get into it!…

1. The staff have been playing a game for the last 8 years where they take turns hiding a can of chickpeas and whoever finds it gets to re-hide it!

2. Many of our still loyal customers had a hand in building Boulder Shack. Our community means so much to us and helps create the welcoming place we are today! You might see someone wearing a “I helped build Boulder Shack” t-shirt in the gym and now you know that they earnt the right to brag, as eight years later we are still growing our strong community in the place they invested their time and hard work into!

3. Over the years we have had staff members from over 10 different countries other than the UK!

4. You can claim a free tea or americano if you walk or cycle to Boulder Shack! Just one of our little perks!

5. We are the proud owners of David’s Crack… not as weird as it sounds, now an honored landmark in our office and a reminder of when David, while exploring the attic, nearly put his foot in it (literally!)

6. Boulder Shack is always growing and changing, it has to! We want to provide the best experience for our customers, so things are always being changed for the better! Most recently, our Training Area has had a total revamp! Our extremely talented colleagues have been working hard to transform it into an even better facility!  Work has been going smoothly and hopefully in the next few days we can unveil our new Training Area to you all!

7. Pretty much all of our route setting is done by our own staff, we have such a dedicated and motivated team of setters at Shack, all trained up in house by Ollie Wragg!

8. We sell our own custom Boulder Shack Croc Jibs! They are a mini version of our “B” logo. Super fun and a cool way to identify other Shack-goers!

Well there you have it folks, 8 things you may or may not have known about Boulder Shack! As we approach our 8th Birthday this February, we hope you’ll be here celebrating with us! We have a day of fun planned, we’ll have music, arcade games, a photo station, balloons, fun climbs and most importantly, cake!
